Question #1:
Would my fiance's family be offended if I didn't go?
My due date is a week from today(September 15th with our first child). My fiance and the father of the baby wants me to go with him to his family picnic which will be in the park on Saturday. I was hoping he'd change his mind about going or our baby would decide to make his appearance a week early so I wouldn't have to go. So far it hasn't worked out that way. His family is okay to be around, just have to avoid certain one's especially when drunk. It's not that I wouldn't mind going,it's the fact that I'm 39 weeks pregnant and it's supposed to be over 90 degrees outside(not to mention the humidity which will make it over 100 easy). Where the picnic is,there isn't a building and very little shade, way too hot for me. He doesn't seem to understand that. Even when I said I'd just sit in the car with the A/C running the whole time he told me I shouldn't because they'd think I was being antisocial. He's making me feel guilty and like I'd offend his family if I didn't go and stay the whole time(he won't leave early,I know him). What should I do?
Question #2:
how much would the teslar motor car engine cost 10 points who ever tells me first?
i need to know so i can replicate the engine so i can put it in my car which i am building 10 point for who ever tells me first.thank you wild man
Question #3:
Please review this and let me know what you think? :)?
I am applying for my first Studio, its a low income housing complex that has a very intense screening process. They pull your credit report and it has to be at 650 or higher (Im at like 653 w/ Experian- but I dont know what bureau they use that might make my score a little lower. A coworker has suggested turning in a friendly statement of facts along w/ a copy of my experian report explaining any points they may possibly view as negative. Please read the below and let me know if you think its too much? Its okay? Any advice much appreciated!
********************************************************
This is my personal statement regarding any possible negative points of my credit report in further detail.
Possible Negative Point 1- Large amount of money owed in total:
This is for one reason only and that is my student loan amount. I attend a private nursing school and have needed to take out a US Dept of Education loan on the tuition cost. I have been paying back interest that may be building up here and there, but the large amount of money I owe is due entirely to student loans. These are government funded loans and I am not scheduled to begin paying these back until 6 months after my graduation date.
My auto loan remaing balance is under $1000, and per my credit report you can see that it will be paid off in full with 3 more months of regular payments.
Possible Negative Point 2- Low Credit Limit on Revolving Credit Card, and amount owed closer to the total limit:
I recently had a emergency large ticket item on my vehicle and had to turn to my credit card to help pay for the repair. Per my credit report you should see that I have only been over the limit once by error but have maintained this credit card in good standing and most often with very low balances since I received it when I turned 18 in 2006.
Things I would like to be considered:
I am 22 years old and am currently bulding my credit. I have never taken on a financial responsibility I wasn't able to handle and my credit report should reflect that as well. I had a $9,000 car loan that I obtained in May 2008 set to last for 4 years. Through timely payments and extra payments I will be done with this loan much ahead of schedule by the end of 2010.
I have also attached a copy of my Experian Credit Report in full detail as I obtain those free with a monthly subscription in case your source of credit reports don't provide enough detail to support my facts above.
I appreciate you taking time reviewing my statement. I would very much like to be approved for this apartment and therefore felt the need to point out the reasons for any possible negative point of my credit report in further detail.

Question #4:
Please tell me which of these two jokes I heard this evening is the funnier of both. bAlso, can you ...?
... Can you please also rate them each with a scale of one to ten with ten being funnier. Thank you!!JOKE # 1:
A blonde married woman and a nice-looking man, also married, found themselves mistakenly assigned to the same sleeper car on a train ride across the country. The management could not rectify matters until the next day, so both the married woman and married man reluctantly had no choice but to share the sleeper car the first evening of the trip. The woman slept on the lower berth, with the man on the upper. Not too long after they turned the lights off, the man was a bit chilly and rather than go through the embarrassment of crawling over the woman on the lower berth, he leaned over the top of the upper berth and asked the woman if she wouldn't mind opening the closet and handing him an extra blanket. The married woman, too tired to move asked, "Well, we are married, so can we pretend just for tonight that we are married to EACH OTHER?" The married man couldn't believe his ears and after a moment eagerly agreed. "Great, honey," the married woman replied, "then go get your own f**kin' blanket !!" Annoyed, the married man's retort was a long, loud, and stinky fart!
JOKE # 2 :
A man walks into a bar just as the 11 O'Clock news was coming on. He noticed a young pretty blonde sitting at the bar watching the news, which was covering a suicidal guy standing on the 20th story ledge of a building, screaming he was going to jump. The man saw this as a good opportunity to speak with the pretty blonde so he asked her, "Hey, I'll bet you $5 the poor man jumps." The blonde replied, "OK, you're on since I say he doesn't." They sat together watching the news and, sadly, the suicidal man did jump to his death. The blonde sighed and started to get the $5 out of her purse when the guy told her he couldn't conscientiously take her money since this newscast was a repeat of what he saw earlier right after the 5 O'Clock news was on. "Oh,no," the blonde said, "I saw the 5 PM news also." Confused, the young guy asked her,"Gee, if you had seen it earlier today just like I did, then how could you have made that bet with me??!" Upon which the blonde explained, "Yes, I did see it this afternoon, but I accepted the bet with you since I didn't think that poor guy would have the guts to do it again." Now it was the guys turn to sigh as he took the blonde's money and strolled out of the bar.
Question #5:
Unsure on my NCB(No claims bonus)?
So i passed my test november 2008, im currently 19 at the moment. My first insurer was ecar (£3900 annual, corsa 1.2) and i stayed with them paying monthly for about 8 months. Then went on to my mothers bussiness insurance as they did use my car now and again and it was also alot cheaper, even added on to the fact we had another car and was able for anyone to drive. So i stayed with them priverlidge through the bussiness insurance until early this year.Question is would i of built up any NCB atall since i swppaed insurance and also then went onto bussiness insurance which covers the car and not the driver, even though i havnt actually claimed for nearly 2 years now?
On top of this the bussiness insurance when into debt after october last year and had like 500 owing when finally sold my car, when they rang as my family bussiness was abroad they had to speak to them to cancel and couldnt as i asked was it ok for me to still drive my car, he said i cant disclose that but if you were to be pulled over your still on our records.
Wondering if that would effect anything. Currently bene of the road for 3 months now also so im guessing NCB doesnt get added when your not on the road?
Im sorry i havnt laid this out more clear as there are a couple question within this but any help is greatly appreciated.
Question #6:
Where can I buy an ALUMINUM trailer hitch for my car? ( I want lighter aluminum, not steel )?
I have searched everywhere and all I find are just standard steel trailer hitches for my 2006 Toyota Corolla. The Corolla is a lightweight car and bolting on a heavy steel hitch just makes the rear end of the Corolla drag on the ground, like the springs are broke or something. So I want something lighter, something made out of aluminum.
The trailer that I pull is an extremely lightweight utility trailer that I built myself, so light I can pick it up and carry it above my head, so I don't need a hitch capable of towing a horse-trailer or anything like that !
I see how trailer hitches for my type of car are made and I have some 4 X 4 “L” aluminum bars here and I’m thinking of just bolting some pieces together with some bolts to form an aluminum trailer hitch of my own design, but I wanted to first find out if anyone else knows of a manufacturer that makes trailer hitches for cars out of aluminum ? That way I won’t have to build one myself.
If you know of any, please let me know, thanks !
Yes, I know about how the hitch needs to bridge the space between the fram rails, I see how the steel design works, but thanks for the info, I really appreciate it anyways.
With me pulling so little weight, I just wish there was something a bit lighter than the standard class-1 hitch available. I do have one of those "old" designs that bolts directly onto the steel of the bumper. There is a steel reinforment under that plastic bumper that I could bolt onto, but right in front of that is the airbag sensor and I think that if I bolt an old-style hitch to the bumper, right where the airbag sensor is, the vibrations of the hitch might set off the airbag in no-time ! Boom, right in my face while I'm driving along !
So I'm going to build my own frame-rail spanning hitch out of aluminum. The rails of aluminum are 3/8" thick, and in an L-shape, about 3X3" for each web of the 'L'. That's more than strong enough, and should weigh about half of what a standard class-1 hitch will weigh.
yes, I googled all that, but the only trailer hitches available are for motorcycles, nothing for cars.
yes, I googled all that, but the only trailer hitches available are for motorcycles, nothing for cars.
Question #7:
Is there anything wrong with being a do it yourself consumer?
I'm a 38 year old widow. After my husband died in 2003, I realized that the life insurance money wasn't going to go very far, unless I became extremely frugal. Over the last 7 years I've taken many, many, many classes, and I've obtained quite a few certifications. From Personal Trainer (www.witseducation) to Building/Construction. I've literally saved thousands by being a do it yourself consumer. Some of my family members think that I'm obsessed with being frugal. But that's not the case at all. Why pay someone else to do a job, when I can do it for a fraction of the cost?I can give you a really good example of what I'm talking about. In 2007, I took a seminar on how to flip houses and buy houses for the back taxes. This was also the same year that I had taken courses in real estate, realtor, and housing inspection. I knew that eventually I wanted to buy a house of my own. Up until 7 months ago I was living in a very cheap, garage apartment near my job. I decided that I was ready to move into my first and only house. I bought a 1,700 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, with a two car garage, for the back taxes. The house has a swimming pool. I paid $4,312 for it all. Because of all of the classes I had taken in Building Construction, Interior Design, Cabinet Making, Furniture Making & Refinishing, Sewing. I spent $23,000 to have the home of my dreams. I got a huge tax refund, and I am using that toward an international adoption.
When I had my house warming party everyone from my job, asked me who had decorated my home. I proudly told them that I had did it myself. I also told everyone that I had made all of the food as well. Everyone was shocked, because they thought I had paid a professional to do it all for me. Nope it was all my hard work. I love that I can do things for myself, and I know that it will be done right.
So I'm asking all of the people out there reading my question: Is there anything wrong with being a do it yourself consumer?
Question #8:
Who is ready for the funniest joke tonight, STAR if you like it?
These 4 pals go out to play golf one sunny morning. One is detained in the clubhouse, and the other three are discussing their children while walking to the first tee."My son BIll," says one, "has made quite a name for himself in the home-building industry. He began as a carpenter, but now owns his own design and construction firm. He's so successful in fact, in the last year he was able to give a good friend a brand new home as a gift."
The second man, no to be out done, tells how his son began his career as a car salesman, but now owns a multi-line dealership. "George is so successful, in fact, in the last six months he gave his friend two brand new cars as a gift."
The third man's son, Albert, has worked his way up through a stock brokerage, and in the last few weeks has given a good friend a large stock portfolio as a gift.
As the fourth man arrives at the tee, another tells him that they have been discussing their progeny and asks what line his son is in.
"To tell the truth, I'm not very pleased with how my son turned out," he replies. "For 15 years, Frank's been a hairdresser, and I've just recently discovered he's gay. However, on the bright side, he must be good at what he does because his last three boyfriends have given him a brand new house, two cars, and a big pile of stock certificates."
Question #9:
I am spoiled if my first car is a lexus?
I turned 16 at the end of last year and got my license a couple months ago. The day after that, my parents bought me a 2007 certified pre-owned Lexus rx350 (SUV), with leather interior, built-in nav system, moon roof, the whole deal. It still looks almost brand new Am I spoiled (even if I'm ranked 3rd in my class at a really good private school and I am a nationally ranked swimmer)?Question #10:
What do you think of my poem?
This is just a little fun poem I wrote one day. Probably not the greatest literary work in the world but still. On the 2nd of June by the 3 quarter moon
By a sidewalk quite messily paved
Lies a grey slab of stone saying "Here lie some bones"
Where a cat rises up from his grave.
Oscar's his name and since he first came
in a box that arrived at the door
He hated his owners, each one of the moaners
And slept by himself on the floor.
But one day he saw as he sat on the floor
A mouse trap which he thought was rich.
He began to ask how, he needed to know now!
All these questions, they made his ear twitch.
He soon realized that through his green eyes,
His mind was too big for his life.
He came up with schemes you won't see in your dreams
to cause lots of trouble and strife.
He soon built a lab, which truly was fab
And straight quick got to work on his plan.
He built a device to kill all he disliked.
It was built from two cars and a fan.
He fetched a string bean to test his machine
In his lab which was built in a shed
But when he pressed fire he stepped on a wire
And it basically killed him instead.
But one night a year, when the clouds are all clear
He rises and works all night through.
Yes it's true, curiousity did kill the cat
And it could just as easily kill you!
Question #11:
Why did she send me a Facebook friend request since we met today and only talked for 5 minutes?
I'm in college. Today I was driving my car to my walking class (yes, a walking class lmao) and since it was raining, no one showed up except me and this girl. Well, the girl walked in the rain for 15 minutes just to get to the walking class. I felt badly for her, and plus she was cute, so I asked her if she wanted a ride back to the main campus. She said "yes I would love a ride back" so I jokingly said "Cool, how much money do you have?" ....she laughed, and her and I had a really good time just talking for the 5 minutes that we had until I dropped her off. I was making her laugh, and we were flirting like crazy. Well, when I dropped her off, I asked her name, and then I asked for her last name. Then she asked me what my first and last name was. I told her "stay dry," and we said goodbye.Well...all this happened at 10 this morning. About 8 tonight, I got on facebook to send my friend something, and at this time I didn't have any friend requests pending. About 10pm tonight, I get back on facebook and I have a friend request from the girl! :D
More than likely, does this mean she has been thinking about me throughout the day and that she likes me?
BTW...I'm not going to accept her friend request tonight because if I don't, it will just make her think about me more, causing her attraction for me to build. (...but I'll accept it tomorrow evening).
Girls, and guys...does all of this sound like she likes me?

Question #14:
3 bombs kill 25 at Pakistan Shiite march ... What do bombers think?!?
LAHORE, Pakistan – Three bombs ripped through a Shiite Muslim religious procession in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore on Wednesday, killing 25 people and wounding about 150 others, officials said. The explosions appeared to be the latest in a string of attacks by Sunni extremists against the minority Shiites they consider infidels. Allied with al-Qaida and the Taliban, the bombers are also seeking to destabilize Pakistan's U.S.-backed government.
The blasts were the first major attacks since Pakistan was hit by devastating floods more than a month ago. Lahore, the country's political capital and home to much of its military elite, has been regularly targeted by militants over the past two years.
The bombs exploded at three separate sites Wednesday evening as 35,000 Shiites marched through the streets of Lahore in their traditional mourning procession for the caliph Ali, one of Shiite Islam's most respected holy men.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the blasts in a statement and said the attackers would not escape justice.
After the blasts, the marchers erupted in fury, setting fire to a police station, another police facility, two police cars and three motorcycles, said Zulfiqar Hameed, a senior police officer. Police lobbed tear gas canisters at the crowd and fired shots in the air to disperse the assailants, he said.
The first blast was a time bomb that exploded in the street near a well-known Shiite building, Hameed said. Footage of that explosion shown on Geo television showed a small blast erupting amid a crowd of people on the street followed by a large plume of smoke. Hundreds of people fled from the blast, while others rushed to carry the wounded to safety.
Minutes later, with the streets in chaos, a male suicide bomber who appeared about 18 years old tried to force his way into an area where food was being prepared for the marchers to break the traditional Ramadan fast and exploded, Hameed said. Soon after, another suicide bomber detonated himself at an intersection near the end of the procession.
Abbas Kumaili, a prominent Shiite scholar as well as a senator, called for three days of mourning over the attack and lashed out at the bombers.
"They are our enemies, both Shiites and Sunnis should remain united and foil their evil designs," he said.
The blasts killed 25 people and wounded about 150 others, said Sajjad Bhutta, a top local government official.
Hours earlier, three people were wounded in a shooting near a similar Shiite procession in the southern city of Karachi, but senior police officer Iqbal Mahmood said the incident did not target the march.
Islamist extremists have a history of attacking Shiites, non-Muslims and others they deem unacceptable.
In July, twin suicide attacks at Pakistan's most popular Sufi shrine killed 42 people. Another suicide bomber wounded eight worshippers at a Shiite mosque in eastern Pakistan.
Meanwhile, a bomb exploded near a police vehicle in the town of Shabqadar in northwest Pakistan, killing one passer-by and wounding 15 people including one police officer, police officer Nisar Khan said.
The bombings came after Pakistan army jets and helicopters targeted militant hide-outs near the Afghan border, killing 60 people identified as insurgents or their family members, including children, said security officials and a witness.
The attacks occurred Tuesday and Wednesday in different parts of the region.
There was no independent confirmation of the casualty figures because the area is too dangerous for outsiders to visit.
The raids Tuesday took place in several villages in Teerah Valley in the Khyber region and killed 45 people, the officials said. One official said some vehicles rigged with explosives had also been destroyed. He could not say how many.
He described the dead as insurgents, but said it was possible that people living with them could also have been killed. Separately, an intelligence officer said some women and children had been killed in the attacks.
Jihad Gul, who lives near one of the villages, said he had seen the bodies of at least 20 women and children.
Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said reports of civilian casualties were unconfirmed.
The security officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
An air attack Wednesday in the adjoining district of Orakzai killed 15 suspected militants and wounded 10 others, according to local government official Jamil Khan and a brief army statement.
Pakistan's army has been fighting Islamist militants in different parts of the northwest for more than two years.
Militants who fled major operations in the South Waziristan and Orakzai tribal regions are believed to have set up new bases in Khyber, about 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of the main city in the region, Peshawar.
Question #15:
Preference question to fellow Mechanics and Techs?
I have a 1979 Ford Mustang. Nothing to get all excited about. Have what is left of the 2.3 that came in it still bolted in with the 4 speed manual trans.I have it because it was my first car and I want to TOTALLY redo it. Right now I'm still in the planning stage. My big concern now is.... 289 or 302?
My first thought was to the 302, still under the influence of the mindset that "There is no replacement for displacement", but the more I look into it the more I hear getting and building a 289 can turn out a better investment and will likely have few problems. Seems everywhere I turn, i hear people telling me how many problems I will have the the 5.0, so I would like anyone and everyone's opinion.
I know because I said I have a Mustang, I will have to endure those simple minded people going on about how horrible Fords are... that's fine, you'll be promptly ignored.
To everyone else, thanks in advance for your input.
Hey Hank, I never thought of the Windsor, do you know off hand if it will bolt up or will I have to get adapters for the mounts?

Question #17:
I need advice from Roman Catholics and people that know about purgatory/demons. Please help.?
I am 21 and I'm a born-again Christian. I come from a long line of baptists, particularly on my father's side where they even built some churches. My beliefs are typical christian (god father/son/holy spirit, jesus, repentance, accepting christ as your lord and savior, baptism, and stuff like that). I'm very confident in this denomination, but I've never really thought other ones were any worse (just different). But one thing I never believed in was purgatory or souls staying on earth after death....I always just believed you either go to hell or heaven after you die.....and the spirit world is just angels and demons. But starting just about 5 months ago my friends told me of a haunted area 15 minutes from my house. This was all a joke to me at first, and I just went there with some buddies to fool around and have a good time. The first time I went there it was basically all a joke, but as I kept going there weirder and weirder things kept happening. I would go there and my buddy and I freaked out after hearing a girl screaming a meter away from us. The rumor was that a man went bonkers in this house, killed his daughter, hung himself, and now the house is haunted.
Two of my psychic friends saw a middle aged man with an amish beard in the house. A few of my friends have seen a white shirt walking around. I was the only one that found a white flashing orb outside. And me and my other friends have seen a shadow moving around the house (particularly on full moons when we have the car lights on the house). And almost everyone (except me) have seen a little girl with blond hair. I have a million other stories I could say, but I`m going to get straight to the point.
We know a roman catholic woman that comes from a long family of medium abilities and the gift to see spirits. We took her to the house without telling her of any of our experiences (she wouldn`t let us). She first found the spirit of this guy with an amish beard....he told her that he used to be a christian when he was alive...but stopped in later years. He was the one who killed his daughter and hung himself. He told her that now he is forced to live in this house with a demon that is attached there to torment him because of what he did. His daughter is in heaven, but the demon shapeshifts into his daughter`s appearance to bother him. This man said he is forced to stay there until the house is taken down. He said he is working on making it to heaven...he wants to go there.
The second thing that we found is there is a 12 year old boy there....scared out of his mind! The lady couldn`t figure out why he is stuck there because he seems innocent....but there is an angel there protecting him. She told us to take a picture and we could see the boy....so my buddy caught the picture of my cell phone...and guess what....we can see the boy in the picture. I uploaded it to facebook and my friends are kinda flipping out. This boy is white shirt story, and the white orb I found is the angel.
When we went outside the women told me the demon was getting extremely angry and hostile. When we were outside she suddenly started screaming and said something punched her in the back.....so went and took a look at her back.....and there were 3 huge claw marks inside her back! sketchy..
My question is what should I do? Should I go burn this house down? It's going to fall down in a couple years because it's in bad condition. And what is going on here.....is it actually true that people can stay on earth after they die? I thought purgatory was something that was just made up around 1100 AC. Is roman catholic the same thing as catholic? I am thinking of changing denominations because of all I've seen. A year after a family member of mine died I heard his voice yell something to me in my room but nobody was there....I asked this lady about him and she said his soul is in heaven and he is nowheres near earth right now....which doesn't surprise me because my uncle had a vision of him in heaven.
P.S - To all the people that are going to say something stupid like go see a psychologist, go ahead and waste your time if you like. I know what I've seen and I'm just a normal person like everyone else with friends that hangs out, works, and everything normal.

Extremely Bizarre Dream Last Night?
Last night, I was all stressed out due to the fact that my family business is closing. I had a dream that I was with one of my classmates (with whom I barely even know) that I asked her to go to lunch with me. She accepted me offer and we went to my car which was parked in a city garage building. We got out and I started driving and getting towards the highway going about 15-20 minutes north from where we were from. At first it went fast forward as I was exiting a circular ramp and saw myself in first person view. Then I found myself driving about another 30 minutes to the northeast. (Time was obviously flying since it was a dream.) I looked at the clock it was 12:40. I said we better get back to school we are already 10 minutes late. We then found a policewoman and I recognized her face: a classmate I haven't seen in years nor do I think about her anymore. Whenever when we were in her presence, I was either paralyzed or I was moving very slow. She was almost like a villain trying to prevent me from going back. When we got back, I was feeling rather excited to be around her and I asked her while I was driving into a narrow space in the parking garage to find a spot "Do you think maybe we can be more than friends sometime?" Her reply was like "Sure, I'll think about it." I said good bye to her and then I woke up. What does this mean??Even though I got an adequate amount of sleep, I was exhausted during morning classes that I almost fell asleep during presentations and I really wanted to sleep!! I told her about it today and she was like Oh how weird! But I wouldn't worry about it. I've been contacting her a little more often I called her about a English reading assignment and she was nice and friendly to me. What could it all mean?? I've been wondering.
